L.A. Mart and California Gift Show (CGS) announce the 2012 Market calendar for the remainder of the year. Forthcoming 2012 shows and events are expected to deliver renewed confidence, strong traffic and volume generating sales to showrooms and exhibitors buoyed by January’s record upturn in attendance and purchasing among new and returning buyers from across the country and around the globe. MMPI management is confident in Los Angeles and CGS as the must-shop destination to source both innovative California designed and made products, as well as those produced internationally.

Mart. “January’s significant leap forward in both traffic and order writing reinforces the resilient strength of our brand and the synergies shared between L.A. Mart’s permanent, year-round resources and CGS’s uniquely innovative temporaries. Our 50-year history as a successful Los Angeles-based marketplace continues into this decade with our long-term lease agreement producing CGS at LACC, as well as at L.A. Mart.
 
July 2012 begins with the new Wednesday start of Market initiated for the January show. The day shift forward is designed to maximize buyer efficiency while at Market, facilitating greater engagement between the opening of CGS’s permanent and temporary venues. Maintaining a seven day shopping opportunity while enhancing cross-over between L.A. Mart showrooms and Los Angeles Convention Center exhibitors ensures buyers have access to the complete range of lines offered from nearly 1,000 manufacturer resources. Buyers will find an increased range of LACC offerings this July with nearly 100 Beckman’s Handcrafted Show L.A. exhibitors joining South Hall Gift temps, in addition to the international mix of products featured at Kentia Global Marketplace.
 
In addition to the January and July California Gift Show, L.A. Mart presents a full year of buyer programming, including Spring and Fall Gift + Home Markets, hosted in March and September respectively, Market Tuesdays and Spring and Fall Gift + Home Sample Sales.
